Paste compounds are designed more for slightly older paint technology, (e.g. Medium Solids systems).

Liquid compounds are a more recent innovation and are always more advanced. They are typically intended for use on the latest compliant paint technologies. Liquid compounds deliver a quicker cutting action and more rapid results with less mess in use compared with Paste Compounds. Typically liquid formulations are more concentrated than their paste equivalents, requiring less product per job.
