Is It Safe To Buy Online With My Credit Card?
Wyatt Machine Tools will provide you with the most secure shopping technology available to us. When you use your credit card on our website, we do not save that information; the details are encrypted and passed directly to the bank through a secure payment gateway ‘DPS – Direct Payment Solutions’. This technology is designed to prevent any unauthorised viewing and downloading of your order information.
DPS also use the security number on your credit card to ensure the person shopping is in possession of the correct card. The CSC - Card Verification Code is a unique three or four digit number that appears on the back of your card, but is not part of your credit card number. The CSC is an extra security feature of your credit card. It is not contained in the magnetic stripe information, nor does it appear on sales receipts or billing statements – you must have the card in your possession in order to use this code. Card security codes are not raised (they are only printed), so they are not scanned into standard credit card readers. In theory, these numbers are only visible to you. When you give your card security code to a merchant, you assist the merchant in verifying that the order is being placed by you, the card holder.
